But we were surprisingly impressed at this family sitcom which NBC unceremoniously dumped at the end of last season. In 1993, with the long enduring hit series Cheers finally coming to an end, NBC attempted to ride that success into a spinoff that would follow Cheers character Frasier Crane as he moved home from Boston to Seattle to start a new life after his divorce. Frasier would go on to become one of the few cases of a spinoff enjoying the same level of popular and critical success as the original series.
