Welcome back to Pilot Inspectors. In today's episode, we take a look at the 1997 Fox legal drama/comedy Ally McBeal. Download the episode and listen to what we thought of the show that put the word dramedy on everybody's lips in the late 90's.

Welcome back to Pilot Inspectors. In another example illustrating that we are right on the cutting edge of the television zeitgeist, in today's episode we take a look at the Amazon original series Transparent. It's been over a year since the first season was that show that everyone was talking about. And now that the second season has been dumped on an eagerly awaiting audience, we thought it was about time we finally took a look to see just what everyone has been talking about.

Welcome back to Pilot Inspectors. Sometime in the early 2010's, formerly musically oriented MTV decided to take time out of Real World and Teen Mom seasons to start making some scripted television that people thought was actually halfway decent. In today's episode, we take a look at one of the first entries in this genre, 2011 MTV teen comedy Awkward. Download today's episode and listen to find out if we might actually start tuning into MTV for good television for the first time since they reran old episodes of My So Called Life almost twenty years ago.

Welcome back to Pilot Inspectors. In today's episode, we watch the British Channel 4 anthology series Black Mirror, available in America on Netflix streaming. Special warning regarding this episode: please do not listen to this podcast episode if you have not watched the first episode of Black Mirror. We understand that many people listen to our podcast without watching the episodes first. However, we feel that this episode in particular can harm your viewing experience if you have not already watched the episode of Black Mirror. You have been warned: listen at your own risk.

Welcome back to Pilot Inspectors. To commemorate the release of JJ Abram's Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we have made the obvious decision to discuss the 1998 WB college drama Felicity. Though he is now known for directing every movie beginning with Star, we wanted to talk a look back at Abram's not so humble beginnings. Download and listen to find out why Felicity is one of our favorite TV shows ever made.

Welcome back to another commemorative edition of Pilot Inspectors. In honor of our 30th episode, we have watched the pilot episode for the 2006 NBC sitcom 30 Rock, starring Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin. When the show premiered, there were a lot of comparisons made with the Aaron Sorkin series Studio 60, which premiered the same year. Download and listen to our thoughts on the subject, almost ten years later.

Welcome back to Pilot Inspectors. America Ferrera returns to television in January 2016 in the new NBC sitcom Superstore. As a sneak peek, NBC aired the first two episodes, and in today's episode we will take a look at the pilot. Watch the episode, then join us as we wonder if Ben Feldman will get to keep all of his nipples on this show.

Welcome back to Pilot Inspectors. After an unfortunately extended delay, we are finally back with a new episode. No plague can keep the Pilot Inspectors down forever, even if they have to cough into the microphone the whole time. In today's episode, we take a look at the 1998 HBO series Sex and the City. Watch the pilot episode, then listen to find out what we thought of this seminal (wink wink) show.
